The Prudes

The Prudes

Their story so far...

The Prudes was formed in Yorkshire, around 1980. They were inspired by The Stranglers, The Clash, U2, Joe Cocker, Queen and even a little Elton John. Paul Carter (guitars) and Chris Hall (vocals, keyboards), the two members of the band, are now separated by the Atlantic ocean but still work closely, taking inspiration from both the streets of small town in England and the hustle of New York City. They have released 3 albums so far : Tears and Changes (2007), Skin Deep (2008) and This Town (2011), that you can listen to online here : Listen to The Prudes albums

Paul Carter uses various guitars on his recordings, among which a Super Red Special, and mainly 3 amplifiers : a Vox Ac30, a Fender Champ Vibro and a Vintage Doxy + Doxy Cabinet. Paul also has some effect pedals : treble boosters, a Rocktron Prophesy II and a Doxy Maxx FX he uses in his AC30 FX loop for high volume Doxy tones.
